Miami-Dade County
One community, many generations of pools
Kendall is a large unincorporated area of western Miami-Dade that grew outward over several decades, from 1960s ranch homes near Dadeland and Snapper Creek to 1990s gated communities further west. Because the housing spans so many eras, a single Kendall street can hold pools with original diving-board-era plumbing next to brand-new salt systems.
Older pools here usually need honest advice about aging pumps, filters and heaters, plus attention to worn plaster that makes algae harder to control. Newer pools usually run salt chlorine generators, variable-speed pumps and automation, which need their settings checked and salt cells cleaned regularly. Many Kendall pools also have attached spas, and a spa's small, hot water volume swings chemistry in hours, so we test it separately.
Lot sizes vary as much as the ages of the homes. Around Snapper Creek and Devonwood, older houses often sit on roomy lots under mature trees, while newer subdivisions further west tend to have tighter yards and pools built close to the back door. Townhome and condo communities add shared amenity pools that get crowded on summer weekends.
Kendall is one of our busiest routes, which means a technician is rarely far away when something goes wrong. That density is also what lets us keep the same person on your pool week after week.
