A&V Pool Service technician skimming leaves from a clear backyard pool with a leaf net

For pools that need more than a skim

Coming back from a long trip, getting ready for a party, buying a house with a neglected pool, or just tired of looking at cloudy water? A deep clean resets everything. We vacuum the floor, scrub the waterline, brush every surface, clean the filter, and rebalance the chemistry from scratch.

It is also the right first step before starting weekly maintenance, so your plan begins from a clean baseline instead of playing catch-up for a month. We clean pools in every city in Miami-Dade and Broward, from Miami Beach condos to large backyard pools in Weston and Pinecrest.

Every finish is cleaned the way it should be: plaster, marcite, pebble, quartz, tile and vinyl each get the right brush and the right chemistry, so we remove the problem without scratching or etching the surface.

South Florida problems we clean up

What we find in Miami-Dade and Broward pools

Most pools that need a deep clean here have one or more of these local problems. Each needs a different fix.

White calcium scale at the waterline

Hard fill water plus constant evaporation leaves a crusty white or grey band on the tile. We remove it carefully and correct the water balance so it does not come straight back.

Leaf and tannin stains

Oak and sea-grape leaves left on the floor release tannins that stain plaster brown. Removing the leaves quickly and treating the stain keeps it from setting.

Sunscreen and body-oil ring

Heavy summer use leaves an oily film at the waterline that traps dirt. A proper tile-line clean removes it without harsh abrasives.

Storm and construction debris

After a big storm or nearby construction, sand, silt and branches settle on the floor and clog the filter. We vacuum it out rather than letting the filter choke on it.

Cloudy water

Cloudiness usually means a dirty filter, low chlorine or water that is out of balance. We clean the filter and fix the chemistry that caused it.

Neglected or foreclosed pools

Pools that sat for months often need staged cleaning. If the water has gone green, we switch to our green pool cleanup process.

Our process

How a deep clean works

Assess and test

We test the water, check the filter and pump, and look at the finish so we use the right tools and chemistry.

Clean top to bottom

Skim, brush walls and steps, scrub the tile line, vacuum the floor, and clean the baskets, skimmer and filter.

Reset and report

We rebalance the chemistry and tell you what caused the mess, plus what would keep it from coming back.

Keep it clean longer

After the deep clean

  • Keep the filter clean

A cartridge or sand filter full of debris cannot keep water clear. Clean or backwash it when the pressure rises about 8–10 psi over its clean reading.

  • Brush once a week

Brushing the walls and steps stops algae and scale from getting a foothold, especially in shaded corners.

  • Remove leaves quickly

Leaves left on the floor stain plaster and feed algae. A leaf net after windy days goes a long way.

  • Consider weekly service

Most customers who start with a deep clean move to weekly maintenance so it never gets that far again.

FAQ

Pool cleaning questions

How long does a deep pool cleaning take?

Most residential deep cleans are done in a single visit of a few hours. Pools with heavy debris, stains or algae may need a follow-up visit once the filter has had time to catch up.

Do you offer one-time pool cleaning, or only weekly service?

Both. You can book a single deep clean, and many customers do before an event or after a trip. If you want the pool kept that way, we can move you onto weekly maintenance afterward.

Can you remove the white line on my pool tile?

Usually, yes. That white or grey band is calcium scale from hard water and evaporation. We remove it with methods that are safe for your tile, then adjust the water balance so it builds up more slowly.

Do you have to drain the pool to clean it?

No. Deep cleaning is done with the pool full. Draining in South Florida carries real risk because of the high water table, so we only recommend it for specific jobs like resurfacing.

My pool water is cloudy but not green. What does that mean?

Cloudy water usually points to a dirty or undersized filter, low sanitizer, or water that is out of balance. We find which one it is and fix the cause, not just the symptom.

Do you clean pools with screen enclosures?

Yes. Screen rooms keep out a lot of debris but trap pollen and fine dirt. We also point out torn screen panels, since they let in leaves and pests.
